One of the most quintessential of English customs was introduced in England by Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, in the year 1840. The Royal Beacon Hotel built in 1810 is the perfect place to take part in the customary tradition. Homemade scones made in our micro bakery accompanied by Devon clotted cream and homemade jam enjoyed alone as a Devon Cream Tea or alongside a selection of traditional finger sandwiches, cakes and pastries which can be devoured in a regal setting.
